Thank You (Tribute to the American Soldier) chosen for theme

CINCINNATI, Tuesday, February 27, 2007 - The Thank You Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America's Veterans and Service Members, announced today its agreement with country music artist Daniel Smith to use the song Thank You (Tribute to the American Soldier) as its theme. We felt using the song as our theme would be very instrumental in helping increase awareness of the foundation and its mission. The words of the song embody exactly what the foundation wants to accomplish. We were so moved by the lyrics we asked Mr. Smith to be an Honorary Board Member and help us in our endeavors. “It’s thrilling to know that my words might comfort and encourage those who have risked everything for our freedom,” says the Parlor Records artist. “Thank You (Tribute To The American Soldier)” appears on Smith’s latest album, American Made. It was issued as a special single last November to commemorate Veterans’ Day. The foundation is currently planning a music video in which celebrities and non-celebrities alike can take part in thanking our Veterans and Service Members. Our hope is that the video will be ready to premier at our "Evening of Appreciation" event schedule for May, where we will honor several Tri-State Veterans. As the foundation grows its plans are to extend programs to offer other types of assistance and focus on other serious issues facing Veterans and Service Members.
