The Thank You Foundation helps honor WWII Veterans

Gerald and Cecilia O'Connor Grever celebrating 60 years of marriage both served in Navy

CINCINNATI Monday, April 9th, 2007 - The Thank You Foundation helped honor two very deserving and very patient World War II Veterans on Monday. Gerald and Cecilia O'Connor Grever of Blue Ash both served in the Navy during World War II but had never received their medals.

Mr. Grever served as a Navy Seabee in the South Pacific while Mrs. Grever served in Washington as a stenographer for the Secretary of the Navy.

Congresswoman Jean Schmidt presented the couple who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in February with their medals and the Thank You Foundation presented them each with a Certificate of Appreciation.

The ceremony attended by friends and family was held at the Red Cross office in Blue Ash.

It was an honor for the foundation to be able to participate in the ceremony and say "Thank You" to these wonderful individuals.
