Start Skydiving/Team Fastrax and Members of The National Speakers Association Take to the Skies and Help Support The Thank You Foundation

Funds raised to help support Veterans and Active Duty Service Members

LEBANON OH Friday, April 13, 2007 - Friday at the Warren County Airport members of Start Skydiving/Team Fastrax along with members of the National Speakers Association took to the skies and helped support The Thank You Foundation.

Former CEO of Southwest Airlines Howard Putnam, his daughter Sue, and Ohio National Speakers Association President Kendall Wright all performed a tandem jump with members of Team Fastrax.

Mr. Putnam, who is to be featured in a business story on the "Freak-out Point" of CEOs, was also reliving his first jump that he made with his daughter in 1983.

David Hart of Start Skydiving/Team Fastrax contacted Nancy Arnold who is active in a local Military Support Group about making the day a fund raiser for a military related non-profit and she suggested The Thank You Foundation. David is a former US Army Ranger and in his own words "bleeds red white and blue" as does his brother John, also an Army Veteran and a Start Skydiving/Team Fatrax member.

After everyone was safely on the ground the participants presented The Thank You Foundation with a $1000.00 check to help support programs offered to Veterans and Active Duty Service Members by the foundation.

John Guinn President and Founder of The Thank You Foundation stated, "it was a great honor to meet Mr. Putnam and Mr. Wright. They are very personable and patriotic men. Mr. Wright is also an Army Veteran and it was fun talking about our old stomping grounds of Ft. Knox."

Guinn also added, I can't say enough about David and the entire Start Skydiving/Fatrax Team. I had no idea what to expect but what I saw was a very professional, top notch, and supportive group of people.

Start Skydiving is having its grand opening the weekend of May 5th at the Warren County Airport, which is the beginning of National Military Appreciation Month. Even if you have no interest in going skydiving I would strongly suggest that you go out and see their operation and of course thank each and every one of them for their service to our country.

The Thank You Foundation, a non-partisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to express gratitude to and show appreciation for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members through programs and services designed to educate the public about the sacrifices our military personnel make and provide soldiers and veterans with times of enjoyment, relaxation, recreation and help when they have a personal need.
