The Thank You Foundation Announces Plans to Celebrate 2008 National Military Appreciation Month

Foundation to participate in several activities to honor Veterans and Troops

CINCINNATI - April 16th 2008 - Since its inception in November of 2006, The Thank You Foundation has supported National Military Appreciation Month and has conducted various activities to help honor and show appreciation to America's Military. 2008 is no exception and The Foundations efforts continue to grow.

Congress first introduced legislation to designate May as National Military Appreciation Month in 1999. This very important month honors, remembers, recognizes and appreciates all military personnel. The men and women who throughout history who have served and those that wear the uniform today.

For National Military Appreciation Month, The Thank You Foundation has announced its schedule of activities to help say "Thank You" to those who have given so much for our freedom.

On May 13th Lebanon Ohio Mayor Amy Brewer along with The Thank You Foundation will proclaim the month of May as Military Appreciation Month for Lebanon Ohio, and Foundation President John Guinn will present Certificates of Appreciation to selected Veterans of the Lebanon Community.

In Louisiana, the Foundation has partnered with the Louisiana Festival Queens to produce and distribute video messages and Thank You cards to troop serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Taping will on May 10th and the DVD's will be shipped in care packages throughout the summer.

On Friday May 16th at the Warren County Airport, The Thank You Foundation, Foundation, Team Fastrax and Selection.com will kick off the "Blue Skies for the Good Guys and Gal's Program. Four Cincinnati area Purple Heart Recipients will have the opportunity to go tandem skydiving as part of the "Blue Skies" program.

On Saturday May 17th The Thank You Foundation will participate in the Cincinnati VA's "Welcome Home Celebration" at Lunken Airport. Daniel Smith will be on hand to perform and sing his patriotic hit, "Thank You - a Tribute to the American Soldier", courtesy of the Foundation.

On Sunday May 25th the Foundation will participate in a ceremony with the Yellow Ribbon Support Group of Dayspring Church and present Certificates of Appreciation to local Veterans

On June 7th the Foundation will be a part of Lebanon Ford's Military Appreciation Day.

Lastly on June 14th, the Foundation will be holding a fund raiser for a terminally ill Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The event will celebrate the life of a true American Hero and help assist the family with financial difficulties.
