SPC Andy West leaving for 2nd tour in Iraq this week

CINCINNATI Saturday, May 27th, 2007 - The Thank You Foundation and Gold Star Chili honored Veterans of Iraq and Kosovo on Sunday at the Gold Star location in Covington. SPC Andy West, SGT Pete Cole, and SPC Ryan Link all received Certificates of Appreciation from the foundation as well as tickets to Sundays Cincinnati Reds game against the Pittsburgh Pirates as part of The Thank You Foundation's "Tickets for Troops" program. SPC Andy West of the 391st Military Police Battalion served in Iraq from 2004-2005 and is preparing to leave later this week for a 2nd Tour. Andy's brother, Ryan West is also an MP currently serving in Afghanistan and has served one tour in Iraq. Also honored were SGT Pete Cole of the 1487th Transportation Company who served in Iraq 2004-2005, and SPC Ryan Link who was deployed with the 2nd Battalion, 107th Cavalry Regiment in Kosovo in 2004 - 2005. All three are originally from Miamisburg Ohio where they graduated High School together, and coached Jr High School Football.
