CINCINNATI - June 11th 2007 - Just a few days after The Thank You Foundation and Miami Valley Chapter #3 of The Blue Star Mothers of America worked together to provide over 30 soldiers from Ft Drum New York a day at the ballpark, Foundation President John Guinn had the honor of visiting with the group.

President Beverly Peyton and members of the chapter gave John a very warm welcome as John gave a presentation about the foundation and its efforts.

At the end of the presentation First Lieutenant Heather Dysert who recently returned home from a tour of duty was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from The Thank You Foundation.

Emotions ran high as the chapter presented John with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Blue Star Mothers. In addition the chapter took a vote and granted a very generous $500 donation to The Thank You Foundation.

Guinn said, "For obvious reasons mothers of soldiers hold a special place in my heart. It was in part the work of my mother who inspired me to start the foundation. She always said that being the mother of a soldier was a tough job. I can only imagine what these ladies go through on a daily basis". Guinn added "these are a very special group of women and I love them all dearly."
