Troops in Iraq will receive popular Sun Care Gift Sets

Cincinnati, June 26, 2007 - The Thank You Foundation is proud to team up with Independent Beauty Consultant, Monique Ballard of Cedar Hill, Texas, in supplying troops with Sun Care Gift Sets along with Foundation "Thank You" cards. The Texas distributor is currently running an initiative called Operation Sun Screen. The goal of the project is to send 1000 Sun Care Gift Sets to soldiers serving in and around Iraq. The Sun Care Gift Sets include an SPF 30 Sunscreen, SPF 15 Lip Protector, and an After-Sun Replenishing Gel which will be sent to the troops in July. Soldiers in Iraq work in harsh conditions with temperatures often reaching 120 degrees. These kits are recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective UV sunscreen and provide protection from possible skin related conditions and diseases. John Guinn, Founder and President of The Thank You Foundation, said, "This is an excellent way of supporting the troops and contributing to the cause." He added, "There are so many things we can do to help the soldiers and this is one of the things that is most needed by our men and women serving in those conditions." The Thank You Foundation sent 100 "Thank You" cards to be placed in the kits as a way of expressing gratitude to the soldiers and Monique Ballard personally donated one free kit for every two sets that were purchased. Guinn stated, "It is wonderful to work with the local community but it is even more satisfying when we can get together with businesses and organizations from across the country and show our appreciation for all that the men and women of The United States Military do."
