CINCINNATI July 1st 2007 - In June The Thank You Foundation and Gold Star Chili honored several Tri-State area Veterans for their Military Service.

As part of the Foundations "Tickets for Troops" program each Veteran received tickets to a Cincinnati Reds ballgame, a Certificate of Appreciation and dinner at the Gold Star Chili location in Covington Kentucky.

On Sunday June 10th 2007 Staff Sergeant Michael Ball, who served with the 478th Combat Engineer Battalion in Iraq and Chief Warrant Office Jeff Fiely, a Veteran of the Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, were both honored prior to the Reds - Indians game.

On Friday June 15th Corporal Matt Hutson was honored prior to the Reds - Rangers game. Matt is a 2004 graduate of Lakota East High School and recently returned from his second tour of Iraq with the 1st Battalion 6th Marines Weapons Company from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

On Friday June 29th prior to the Reds Cardinals game The Thank You Foundation honored Anthony Egner a 2000 graduate of Oak Hills. Specialist Egner was a member of the 82nd Airborne and served two tours in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq from May 2001 to May 2005.

John Guinn, President and Founder stated "I can't say enough what an honor it is to be able to shake the hands of each one of these individuals and say "thank you". They each have incredible stories, in some cases they are heartbreaking, but each one full of honor and sacrifice.

Guinn added, each of our ticket recipients are so appreciative and very humble. I have heard them say time and again, "I was just doing my job". While that is true, it is a job not everyone can or has the courage to do, the least we can do is say thank you.
