Engineering Excellence and The Thank You Foundation partner on care package program for the troops

CINCINNATI - October 10th, 2007 - Another Cincinnati based company has stepped up in support of the troops. Engineering Excellence, a national HVAC facilities management firm has partnered with The Thank You Foundation to collect items for care packages for troops serving overseas.

Employees of the company conducted a drive in August of this year and donated the items to The Thank You Foundation as part of its care package program. The program was so well received that Betty Bauer suggested that they do it all year long.

Employees simply bring items in and put them in a box supplied by the Foundation. A volunteer stops by periodically to pick items up and ship them out.

Foundation President and Founder John Guinn said "It is wonderful to see corporate and community involvement like that of Engineering Excellence. When an entire company gets behind an effort such as this everyone wins, especially our military personnel serving in harms way."

Over the last month four area Deal's stores have been collecting items and The Thank You Foundation has worked with Marcia Ikers Yellow Ribbon Support Group of Dayspring Church to get items shipped.

The Thank You Foundation operates primarily in the tri-state area and has also been active on a national level. Guinn added "We have our Thank You cards program in about 8 different school districts in the country and have participated in activities on one level or another in about 20 states."

In addition to its care package and "Thank You" card program the Foundation's "Tickets for Troops" program has become increasingly popular. Most recently the Foundation received tickets to all Bengals games and to a Washington Redskins-New York Giants that were presented to a wounded soldier at Walter Reed Army Hospital.
